What were you doing before you joined Mahindra?
I was working as a freelance automobile journalist for an automobile magazine when I graduated. After graduating from college, I continued my stint in journalism as a full time Auto Journalist cum test rider of Super Bikes for 6 months before joining M&M.
Why did you decide to join Mahindra?
Being a person who takes automotive as my religion, a company with as rich a legacy as Mahindra's was a perfect place for me to start my career. Mahindra is a place where I can ride on my passion for automobiles, where I can do what I love and love what I do.
What are you doing now?
Currently I am a part of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) & Homologation Department which deals with the testing and Road Transport Office (RTO) certification work for vehicles which must be done before they are launched. I am working on designing and developing a pedestrian safety test rig for testing our vehicles for meeting future regulations.
How do you find Mahindra as an employer?
As one of the biggest groups in the country, this is one of the best places for starting a career. This is a place where life is not just work, but which is something more than that. Here moral values are given equal importance with improving productivity and competitiveness.
It’s a mini India where you meet people from every nook and corner of India. You start learning a lot about different cultures and make a hell of lot more friends, who stay with you as the greatest assets in life.
