What were you doing before you joined Mahindra?

I worked with Philips as a People and Organization Development Manager and Strategist. My role involved working with diverse groups of people from different countries, domains, and business units as we worked to win the neverending battle for talent.

Why did you decide to join Mahindra?

I always wanted to be a part of an organization that was starting to go global.   My search for such an organization revealed that Mahindra had a fantastic growth story and heritage. Being a talent management person, I find that leadership plays a great role and one of things that attracted me towards the organization is the leadership and the passion they carry into transforming the company.

What are you doing now?

I head Organizational Development and Talent Management for the Automotive and Farm Equipment businesses.  I am responsible for talent management and the employee brand within the business, and conceptualize and drive a large part of our Human Resources strategy.  I am also the workplace diversity head, which has allowed me to be intimately involved in culture-building. There is an enormous amount of excitement and passion in the organization to grow to be globally the best place to work.

How do you find Mahindra as an employer?

I think there really is some magic and alchemy in this organization. I am very proud to say that the kind of work that we do is of a global standard. The company is very caring and that is something I find unique. You always get a feeling that the organization wants you to succeed.  I particularly like the way that new joinees are welcomed into the Mahindra family.
