What were you doing before you joined Mahindra?
I was pursuing my MBA in International Business at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi. I specialized in Marketing and have participated in several corporate competitions, including the Mahindra War Room, for which my team was awarded “War Room Champion” in 2010.
Why did you decide to join Mahindra?
Mahindra, as a federation of different companies across multiple sectors, appealed to my instincts. I felt the diversity of the Group’s operations could provide a much-needed breadth for my career. I was especially drawn by the structure of the Global Management Cadre (GMC) program, which ensures that I will be mentored and groomed in my initial years to eventually become a leader in the organization.
What are you doing now?
I work in the Marketing department of the Motorcycles division in Mahindra Two Wheelers. As an Assistant Brand Manager, I am involved in aspects such as brand promotion, market research and competitive intelligence. I helped to plan and organize the Two Wheeler stall at the 2012 Auto Expo. I am also acquiring the skills needed to engage in new product development and product planning.
