What were you doing before you joined Mahindra?
I was studying at Brown University, where I concentrated in International Relations.
Why did you decide to join Mahindra?
Working at Mahindra has given me the opportunity to live and work outside of my comfort zone, a form of experiential learning I found necessary after graduation. While there are days where the compounded stress and monsoon rains can be extremely frustrating, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything—especially given India’s current social, economic, and political growth. It’s pretty exciting.
What are you doing now?
My first six months working in Mahindra’s Office of Strategic Management have exposed me to a huge number of Mahindra sectors, including Mahindra Real Estate, Mahindra Aerospace, Mahindra Hinoday (Magnetic and Foundry Products), Mahindra Systech (Systems and Technologies), and Mahindra Holidays. My current projects revolve around customer acquisition for Mahindra Holidays and understanding the effects of FTAs for Mahindra Real Estate.
How do you find Mahindra as an employer?
My time at Mahindra has been a learning process. While there have undoubtedly been numerous challenges, I have enjoyed my experience and the opportunity to gain exposure to many different industries.
