What were you doing before you joined Mahindra?
I graduated from university last May and spent the four months before I joined M&M in October with an organization which runs a student development program.
Why did you decide to join Mahindra?
I wanted to learn about the growing organizational structure of a manufacturing industry. M&M is in an industry which is witnessing a transition in the manufacturing of its products from tractors to MUVs & SUVs, thanks to developing infrastructure and a growing organizational structure. At M&M, products and processes are being revised and improvised on a continual basis, which can give a novice an extensive opportunity to quench her thirst towards learning. With a growing organization, an individual also grows.
What are you doing now?
Currently, I am getting an exposure to concerns handling. With the electrical parts ownership of the Xylo van (all wiring harness), Bolero UV (tail lamp), and Xylo/Scorpio(RTL sensor, RPAS sensors), I am understanding various processes and structure of how the product moves, what critical stages it undergoes, and how the concerns are being resolved. I am primarily working with the internal as well as the field concerns handling team.
How do you find Mahindra as an employer?
M&M is a wonderful organization to start your career with. The induction that M&M plans for a GET is worth appreciating. It is a live example of building various soft skills like dealing with people, learning team work through various fun activities and sessions, etc.
On the job, M&M brings flexibility and ownership through its supportive work culture and drives you positively and keeps motivating you. It gives good opportunities for an individual to grow.
