Mahindra Tractors sells 17950 units in the domestic market during January 2012

Mumbai, February 1, 2012: Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U.S. $14.4 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in January 2012.

Domestic sales in January 2012 stood at 17950 units, as against 19430 units during January 2011. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) in January 2012 stood at 19354 units, as against 20499 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1404 units, having registered a growth of 31%.

For the period April 2011 to January 2012, total cumulative sales stood at 202723 units, as compared to 174764 units for the same period last year, an increase of 16%.
