Pravin Shah by profession is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). He joined Mahindra & Mahindra in 1981 and has been with the company since then. During this long tenure, he has served in several functions like Finance, IT Systems and General Management. Prior to his current assignment, he was attached with the President’s office for a period of more than10 years and was very closely involved with several milestones in Mahindra’s evolution as a modern SUV and MPV manufacturer. Several very important and far-reaching alliances and initiatives were undertaken during this period including the signing of the Ford agreement, development of the Scorpio, expansion of plants at Igatpuri and Nasik and formation of overseas Joint Ventures..

Currently, Mr. Shah is the Executive Vice President of International Operations in Automotive Sector and has been principally responsible for rapid globalization of Mahindra & Mahindra in the last 3 years. He can be credited with the opening up of several new markets as also the establishment of overseas subsidiaries like Mahindra South Africa and Mahindra Europe, both of which have been very successful initiatives.

Mr. Shah is a Director on the Boards of Mahindra Intertrade Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra South Africa (Pty) Ltd and Mahindra Europe s.r.l. He is also a member on the international committees of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
