At a distance of 185 kms from Mumbai (Bombay) and 220 kms from Pune, Nasik is connected to major cities through rail and national highways. Known for its historical and cultural importance, the city has a population of 16 lakh and stretches over 225 sq. kms. It boasts of uninterrupted power supply and has 13 dams in and around the city. Besides the infrastructure and the pleasant climate, it is the tradition-rich and diverse people of Nasik that make this city one of the most attractive destinations in the country. It also boasts of 3 engineering and 4 medical colleges and its biggest industrial zones are Satpur, Ahmedabad and Sinnar.

The Plant

The state-of-the-art plant in Nasik was inaugurated on February 8, 1981. Till date, it has rolled out over 8 lakh vehicles. The plant provides employment to 3719 workmen and to 1310 engineers within its sprawling 0.5 sq. km plant site.

The plant has a current production capacity of 1.5 lakh/year and a plant production F08 of 1.45 lakh producing Scorpio Range, Bolero Range and the recently launched Logan. The total area of the plant is 113.14 acres with a Built up Area of 42.01 acres. The Nasik plant boasts of fully equipped manufacturing facilities in the Press Shop, Body Shop, CED Line, Paint Shop and Assembly.
