Marksman

We designed the Marksman to protect paramilitary and police forces in counterterrorist and standard operations.  The first of its kind in India, the Marksman is a capsule-based, light bulletproof vehicle that carries a driver, co-driver, and four personnel.  

The Marksman's armor protects against a range of bullets (7.62 x 51mm SLR, 7.62 x 39 mm AK-47/56 and 5.56 INSAS) at an angle of 45 degrees from the top and 90 degrees from the sides at a distance of 10m, and the bottom can withstand the blast from an HE-36 or equivalent hand grenade. It features a cupola with a machine gun mount, seven firing crew ports, and a rearview camera and LCD screen so the driver and co-driver can see the dead zone behind the vehicle. Crew can carry out both aimed and prophylactic fire.

The Mumbai Police Force became the first to use the Marksman in 2009, enabling them to improve the efficiency of their crisis management responses.
