Mahindra Solar One, a joint venture between Kiran Energy and Mahindra, is setting up over 100 megawatts of large grid-connected projects in the next 2 to 3 years. Mahindra Solar One was the first to achieve non-recourse rupee finance for the 5 megawatt JNNSM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission) project and intends to create credible solutions for the growth of solar sector in India.

In 2011, it won a 30 megawatt bid under Phase 1B of JNNSM and is positioned to be a leading developer in the country.
