The Mahindra Ugine Steel Company (MUSCO) is India’s premier manufacturer of speciality steel, stampings, and rings.  We began operating out of Khopoli near Mumbai in 1962, and since then we’ve steadily expanded our offerings and deepened our expertise.

Our steel division was the first in the country to achieve ISO certification.  We’ve earned nine prestigious approvals and awards from certifying agencies and three from customers for the high quality of our steel products.  We serve the automotive, engineering, bearings, and other capital goods industries, and are proud to be the single source supplier to numerous multinationals and domestic customers as well as government organizations in power generation and defense.

Our stampings division operates from three state-of-the-art sheet metal facilities near key automotive plant clusters in India.  We manufacture a wide array of products including skin components, underbody components, critical assemblies, chassis components and car body sheet metal (Body in White) parts with a total capacity of 30,000 metric tons.

We created a ring rolling division as a forward integration for our steel customers in the bearings industry.  We manufacture axi-symmetric annular rings and supply them to all bearings industry majors in India and abroad, with a current capacity of 30,000 metric tons.  In the future, we plan to expand into CNC turned, case carburized, and hardened rings.
