    Alloy Steel

Our steel division is setting standards throughout India.  We were the first Indian steel manufacturer to receive ISO certification, and we received the further certification for ISO/TS 16949 in 2005.  We recently doubled the capacity of our plant at Khopoli from 120,000 to 240,000 metric tons of alloy and specialty steel each year.

Our manufacturing facilities enable us to produce a variety of exceptional steels including engineering and forging steel, ball bearing steel, die and tool steel, microalloy steel, and case carburizing steel.  Our plant features a continuous mill, a 1,200 metric ton open-die forging press, and a bar peeling and rough turning facility.  We keep a range of furnaces for specialized heat treatments.  With our state-of-the-art our Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), we make bars and billets of the highest quality.

We produce steel in various forms: cast, forged, and rolled; annealed and spherodised annealed; solution treated or solution treated and aged; soften or hardened (quenched) and tempered; and peeled or rough turned.

Our in-house metallurgical, chemical, and mechanical testing facility ensures the quality of each piece of steel we make.  Our steel is used by customers like John Deere, Tata, Mahindra, Caterpillar, Toyota, Renault, Siemens, and many more in the automotive, engineering, bearings, capital goods, power generation, railways, and defense industries.
