Telecom Infrastructure Management

India’s booming mobile market has stimulated the construction of 350,000 telecom towers across the country, including in remote locations.  Most of these towers depend on diesel generator sets as a power back-up system.  As the largest supplier of gensets to the telecom industry, we saw an opportunity to deliver more value to our customers by expanding our services.

In 2010, we became the first Indian power generation company to offer its customers telecom infrastructure management services.  In addition to supplying telecoms with Powerol genset assets, we operate and maintain the assets, power, and facilities at telecom tower sites.  We currently manage 6,000 sites.
