Harsh joined Mahindra Intertrade in 2005 as Deputy Managing Director and became Managing Director in 2006.  He currently heads two of Mahindra’s steel businesses, Mahindra Intertrade (MIL) and Mahindra Steel Service Centre (MSSCL).  Under his leadership, Mahindra Intertrade has focused and honed its activities and has been rewarded with a nearly fourfold increase in profits.

In addition, he also serves on the Boards of Mahindra Ugine Steel Company, Mahindra Middle-East Steel Service Centre FZC, and Mahindra Electrical Steel. 

Harsh earned a B.Tech (Mechanical) degree from IIT, Delhi and a postgraduate diploma in Business Management (Marketing & Finance) from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Harsh started off his career with the Indian Tube Company as a management trainee.  He then joined Tata Steel where he handled assignments in Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management.  His career at Tata spanned over a quarter century and culminated in his appointment as Executive Vice President of Tata Metaliks.

In his spare time, Harsh enjoys traveling.  He lives in Mumbai with his wife.  They have a daughter and a son.
