The special 4x4 track
A special 4x4 track has also been created at the show to demonstrate the superior offroading capability of Mahindra’s utility vehicles. This unique 4X4 track at the Autocar Performance show has been devised in line with M&M’s endeavour to reinforce its heritage and offroading equity. With water bodies, slush and gravel, the track was specially created specially to give enthusiasts a real time feel of off-road driving. This is the first time in India that an automobile manufacturer has created a 4x4 track to give visitors a first hand experience of its vehicles in rough road conditions.
Mahindra & Mahindra has been at the forefront of manufacturing tough and rugged vehicles, famed for their offroading abilities. From the MM 540 and the Classic to the Scorpio and the Bolero, M&M has constantly kept the fun factor alive in its vehicles by paying tribute to the off-roading enthusiasm of its customers. The Mahindra Great Escape, a non-competitive, off-road rally meant to encourage Mahindra customers to test the strength of their vehicles on terrain other than tarmac, is an eagerly awaited event on the calendar of off-roading enthusiasts across India. It is held on a regular basis around the country in places like Rajasthan, Goa, Siliguri, Munnar, Coorg, etc.
