Mahindra Introduces Intelli-Hybrid Technology on Scorpio with the 1.99 litre mHAWK Engine for Delhi & NCR

Mumbai, September 27, 2016: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced the introduction of its new mild hybrid technology ‘Intelli-Hybrid’ on the New Generation Scorpio with the 1.99 Litre mHAWK engine for Delhi and NCR.
The Scorpio with Intelli-Hybrid is available at an attractive starting price of Rs. 9.35 lac for the S4 model* and will be on sale with immediate effect. Being a mild hybrid, the Scorpio will be sold with a concessional Value Added Tax (VAT) of 5% in Delhi which translates into a benefit of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 90,000 for the customer, depending on the variant purchased.

Intelli-Hybrid reduces fuel consumption by up to 7%. This, by assisting the engine with electric power during acceleration, automatically switching the engine off within 3 seconds of the vehicle being stationary (start-stop) and reusing brake energy, which would otherwise be wasted, to charge the battery.
Intelli-Hybrid has been made available on the following variants of Scorpio with the 1.99 litre mHAWK engine: S4, S4+, S4+ 4wd, S6+, S8, S10-2WD (Manual Transmission) and S10-4WD (Manual Transmission).

The New Generation Scorpio with Intelli-Hybrid is powered by the powerful 88 kW (120 BHP) mHawk engine and comes with several advanced technology features like cushion suspension and anti-roll technologies, static bending projector headlamps with Eyebrow-styled LED parking lights, a 15 cm (6 inch) touch screen infotainment system with GPS navigation, fully automatic temperature control, luxurious Blue-Grey interiors and 43 cm (17 inch) alloy wheels.
