Mahindra TRRINGO Starts Operations With First Custom Hiring Centre In Koppal, Karnataka
- Offers the Right to Mechanization by reaching out directly to farmers
- To set up 101 custom hiring centres in Karnataka, as part of the MoU signed with the Government of Karnataka.
Koppal, Karnataka, July 28, 2016: Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the $17.8 billion Mahindra Group, today launched its first custom hiring centre for farm equipment under its TRRINGO initiative. Focused on bringing in new age digital technology to the tractor rentals business, TRRINGO is expected to significantly increase the reach of farm mechanization.
The first centre was inaugurated by Shri Krishna Byre Gowda, Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Karnataka at Hithnal Hobli, Kushtagi Taluka, Koppal District, in the presence of other company officials.
Speaking at the inauguration, Arvind Kumar, CEO - TRRINGO, said, "As part of the MoU signed with the Government of Karnataka, we are pleased to inaugurate TRRINGO's first custom hiring centre in Koppal. TRRINGO will play a pivotal role in driving rural prosperity. With our first set of custom hiring centres we will reach out directly to the farmers and enable them to deploy mechanization technology on a pay per use basis without having to invest in the asset. Further, it will generate rural employment and help bridge the gap between requirement and availability, offering farmers easy access to a wide variety of tractors."
Mr. Kumar further added, "Karnataka is an important market for us and going forward our aim is to expand our operations by setting up key hubs in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan."
TRRINGO, a unique and first-of-its-kind farm equipment aggregator service allows farmers to rent tractors and other mechanized farm equipment to complete their farming requirements without major investments. A call to the help line number '1800 2662668', connects the farmer to the TRRINGO call center and immediate assistance through the nearest available tractor or equipment vendor is provided.
With TRRINGO farmers in India will now be empowered to order tractors, compared to the old ways where they had to face problems while ordering tractors in the unorganized market. TRRINGO's brand proposition is 'Ghar baithe tractor mangwana aap ka haq hai', ensuring right to the farmer to order his tractor.
TRRINGO provides a unique business model based on franchisees where a rural businessman can invest in 5 tractors and equipment and set up a hub or centre for operations. In addition to this farmers can also access the service through business hubs at select Mahindra auto and tractor dealerships and existing Samriddhi centres.
