To date, over 95% of M&M suppliers have formally committed to Mahindra Suppliers Code of Conduct. As part of its commitment to building sustainable supply chains, Mahindra Group in collaboration with Xynteo conducted a workshop: 'Accelerating sustainable practices in the tyre value chain' focusing on sustainable practices across manufacturing and end-of-life management of tyres. The event had representation from tyre OEMs and featured insights on sustainable manufacturing and recycling processes, panel discussions with industry leaders on scaling tyre recycling in India, recyclers sharing global best practices and supply chain partners showcasing innovations in tyre recycling and sustainable sourcing. Global Impact Capital Mahindra Group has raised ~$600M in green investments (BII, Temasek, IFC, OTPP, IJF-NIIF) across various green businesses (M&M, LMM, Susten). Climate Adaptation India is the 7th most vulnerable country to climate change, with escalating temperatures and rapid urban growth transforming heat into an operational and financial risk for business. According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report, climate-related risks dominate the medium to long-term global risk landscape, highlighting the urgency of adaptation alongside ongoing mitigation efforts. Mahindra Group’s approach to climate adaptation has been as follows: • Heat Adaptation: We have initiated a structured heat resilience programme with cross-functional ownership for better governance, piloting on-ground scalable, low-cost interventions like cooling wearables and shift redesign, developing standard operating procedures and audit frameworks, and shaping the ecosystem to advance heat resilience as a core adaptation priority. • Smart Agriculture for Climate Adaptation: Mahindra promotes farm resilience and efficiency through technology-driven solutions (like precision spraying) and grassroots programmes like Takneek plots that build farmer skills. These efforts are supported by innovation, partnerships, and digital platforms like Krish-e to expand adoption and impact. • Just Transition: Through initiatives like large-scale skilling programmes, renewable energy training, rural skilling, and EV capability-building, the Group is expanding employment opportunities while supporting a low-carbon transition across employees, communities, and the value chain. Beyond our operations, external stakeholder collaboration is key on this topic with a strong resonance from the NBFC ecosystem on multiple roundtables we conducted on climate risk.
