The genesis of MRV dates back to the 90s, at a humble shed in Nashik with 50 engineers. This was our original R&D centre. But to make products that would give stern competition to the best in the world, we needed to think bigger than our size. Hence began the inception of the dream project MRV – where we could scale up our infrastructure, our people and our aspirations. An idyllic place that fostered creativity and allowed the best minds to live, work and play.

The original idea was to build MRV in Mumbai – but finding land was not easy. We soon set our eyes on Chennai – the mine for India’s best engineering talent. Designed by architect laureate, Charles Correa, the MRV is an innovation hub with state-of-the-art facilities and testing equipment. What’s more, it is the only facility in the world to have both automotive and tractor development under one roof. The MRV was inaugurated in 2012 by renowned scientist and former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
