Tech Mahindra’s Diversity and Inclusion policies have been recognized by Bloomberg, a global media network, along with two other Indian companies, in the Bloomberg 2020 Gender-Equality Index (GEI). Tech Mahindra’s financial performance, commitment to supporting gender equality by developing appropriate policies, representation, and transparency sealed its place in the index.
The index evaluated nearly 6,000 companies across 84 countries. The GEI measures gender equality across five pillars – female leadership, equal pay, inclusive culture, sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.
Harshvendra Soin, Chief People Officer, Tech Mahindra, said, "Tech Mahindra's inclusion in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index is a testimony of our effort to create a diverse and inclusive ecosystem.
At Tech Mahindra, we value individual differences and focus on providing equal opportunities to all our associates. For us, diversity of every kind is a priority - whether it is diversity of nationality, age, gender, thoughts, or abilities, and our constant endeavour is to build a workplace that is 'intentionally' diverse." Tech Mahindra has been a pioneer in India in introducing an inclusive and non-negotiable diversity and inclusion (D&I) policy. As part of the TechMHRNxt policies, under the TechMNxt charter, a core value is to provide a 'workplace of the future'.
