Science-based Targets (SBT) We are contributing our bit in the global fight against climate change by setting emission and carbon footprint reduction targets as per the Science Based Targets framework. Targets adopted by companies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are considered 'Science based' if they are in line with what the latest climate science says is necessary to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement – to limit global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C. 12 Mahindra Group companies had their SBTi (SBT initiative) targets approved by F20. 4 additional companies got their SBTi targets approved in F21. Following are the companies whose SBTi targets were approved in F21: Ÿ Mahindra Logistics Limited Ÿ Gromax Agri Equipment Limited Ÿ Mahindra Heavy Engines Limited Ÿ Mahindra EPC Irrigation Limited Carbon Neutrality We are committed to becoming Carbon Neutral by 2040. The plans to achieve our goal include energy efficiency improvements as well as use of renewable energy and offsetting the residual emissions through carbon sinks. Carbon neutrality plans have been approved for 15 Group companies till date.
