Project Nanhi Kali, the flagship girls’ education initiative of M&M Ltd., works to bridge opportunity gaps for underserved girls, empowering them to pursue higher education, secure meaningful employment, and lead independent lives with confidence. The programme equips girls with essential 21st century skills while fostering leadership through sports. Their learning journey is further supported through the annual Nanhi Kali Kit, enabling them to attend school with dignity. In addition, Skill Bridge, a shorter-duration programme, focuses on improving English fluency and enhancing job readiness among adolescent girls. In parallel, the Teacher Training initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, equips educators to integrate 21st century skills into classroom teaching. Since its inception, Project Nanhi Kali has significantly improved attendance, reduced dropout rates, and ensured continuity of education for marginalised girls. Key Components of Project Nanhi Kali • 21st Century Skills: A comprehensive curriculum covering financial literacy, digital literacy, and essential life skills such as critical thinking, communication and gender sensitisation. • Sports Leadership Development: A professionally designed sports curriculum that builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership. • Nanhi Kali Kit: An annual kit comprising a drawstring bag, T-shirts, shoes, socks, notebooks, pens and a year-long supply of feminine hygiene materials. FY26 Impact Project Nanhi Kali: • 1,81,037 girls trained in 21st century and sports leadership skills across 1,935 schools in 7 states. • 1,00,007 girls supported by the Mahindra Group. • 55,406 girls supported by M&M Ltd. Skill Bridge: • 13,355 girls trained in job preparedness across 6 states. • 7,000 girls supported by M&M Ltd. Teacher Training: • M&M Ltd. supported teacher training for 1,500 teachers in Assam, benefiting 78,676 girls.
