Curiosity is all about seeking, and even preferring things that are new, unusual, and outside the realm of one’s normal experiences. Successfully generating new ideas and approaches, demands an openness to, and comfort with things that have never been tried before. Research shows that ‘curiosity’ enables breakthrough discoveries and is the source of all innovations.

This insight formed the genesis of Mahindra’s newest campaign #NurtureYourCuriosity that was launched on July 3. Curiosity is at the heart of everything that Mahindra does differently, consistently nurturing and enabling innovation with the ultimate aim of creating futuristic products and services that solve business, and industry challenges.

Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Group Corporate Brand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, "Solutions to the world’s problems can only emerge when one asks the right questions. Only the curious ask these questions and challenge the status quo. To make the world a better place, we must nurture this curiosity and seek meaningful innovations. Our aim with this campaign is to encourage

individuals to nurture their curiosity, while highlighting how this is leading to innovations and the leveraging of new age technologies at Mahindra. This is yet another way thorugh which we are enabling and encouraging people to Rise.”

XUV 300 Goes Automatic

Mahindra Automotive recently launched an innovative new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) version of its popular compact SUV, the XUV300, making it even easier to own and drive. This AMT with its autoSHIFT technology will be available on the W8 diesel variant and its optional pack W8(O), at an additional cost of Rs. 55,000 over the manual version. It is available for display, test drives and immediate deliveries across all Mahindra dealerships.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, "At Mahindra, it has been our constant endeavor to offer advanced and accessible technologies to all our customers and we are delighted to introduce the autoSHIFT in the XUV300 for that perfect blend of effortless driving and exhilarating performance. After receiving an overwhelming response for its manual version since its launch in February 2019, we

are confident that the XUV300 autoSHIFT will further strengthen the brand’s value proposition and expand the market for us."

Engineered by Italian automotive experts Marelli, the XUV300 autoSHIFT technology offers segment-leading torque of 300 Nm. Its 1.5L turbo diesel engine with an electronic variable geometry turbocharger delivers 85.8KW (116.6 PS) of power, optimizing the automatic gearshifts for peppy acceleration and overtaking maneuvers.

The XUV300 is a potent combination of cheetah-inspired design and breath-taking performance. Armed with free-flowing torque and nimble-footed maneuverability coupled with an arsenal of best-in-segment safety and technology features, makes XUV300 one of the most exciting SUVs on Indian roads.

Opening Up a ‘World of SUVs’

A technician points his remote and the interiors of a car appear on the screen - a customer virtually enters, altering the seat color and dashboard finish before taking the car on a virtual road trip. Welcome to the future of vehicle sales, welcome to Mahindra’s ‘World of SUVs’.

Leveraging technology to re-imagine the purchase and ownership experience, Mahindra has just launched its next-gen ‘World of SUV’ dealerships. Offering a mix of the virtual and real world, the new ‘World of SUVs’ takes buyers through a digital journey from pre-purchase all the way to ownership.

Along with a hexagonal ceiling layout, and a new interior design representing the tough and rugged Mahindra DNA, the premium dealership comes with Wi-Fi connected customer lounges, a display area with a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, 86-inch screens to display various features, trained relationship managers for a personalized experience and a merchandise, and accessories zone.

The premium outlets display the entire Mahindra vehicle line-up and debut its unique 'showroom-in-showroom' concept, with separate prime zone display areas for Mahindra's premium SUVs - the Alturas G4 and XUV500.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, "The Mahindra World of SUVs is a differentiated customer experience, a synthesis of next level technology with a physical environment that showcases the brand promise of 'Live Young Live Free'. In fact, it is built on the foundation of providing convenience, transparency, and personalization."

Working toward providing customers with an impeccable sales experience, Mahindra has installed digital information panel beside every vehicle to enhance the customer experience. The system also comes with a Sales Genie application to capture inquiries. Vehicles that will be used for a test drive even have a personal voice assistant to provide information to potential customers.

Taking Passion to the Podium

After claiming the drivers’ and constructor’s Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) titles in 2017 and 2018 with the Super XUV500, this year the Super XUV300 with its head-turning, cheetah-inspired design, ‘thrilling’ performance and best-in-segment safety features made a stunning debut on the rally circuit.

Asia-Pacific Rally Champion Gaurav Gill with co-driver Musa Sherif and Amittrajit Ghosh with co-driver Ashwin Naik secured third position at the INRC 2019 with the brand new Mahindra Super XUV300 for Team Mahindra Adventure.

The INRC is the premier rallying series in India run by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India. With India's most celebrated rallyist, Gaurav Gill pushing to the maximum in almost every stage, Team Mahindra Adventure, secured 3rd place in the overall standings.

Apart from the INRC, Team Mahindra Adventure and the rally-ready Mahindra SUVs have also proven unbeatable in several other rallies in difficult terrain including the Dakshin Dare, Desert Storm, Constructor’s Championship and Raid de Himalaya.

Sustainability Means Business

Climate change presents an opportunity to reboot and build a restorative economy. Rajeev Dubey, Group President (HR & Corporate Services) & CEO (After-Market Sector), and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, explains how, with evolving business practices, the focus is rapidly shifting toward sustainability, conscious capitalism and creating a positive social impact.

Countries from all over the world are combining efforts to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovative solutions. Launched by the United Nations (UN) in 2015, the SDGs are a set of 17 global goals aimed at transforming our world by 2030.

The economic opportunity presented by taking bold climate action is significant, with evidence suggesting that those companies aligned to the SDG goals will be best-placed to thrive, as the global economy undergoes a transition to a net-zero emissions future by 2050.

The Mahindra Group has repeatedly stated that sustainability is the biggest business opportunity of this

century, and through its various sustainable practices, it is not only transforming its businesses globally but also providing innovative solutions to reduce the impact on the environment.

With a green portfolio of USD 500 million that includes electric vehicles, solar energy, automotive recycling, biogas, green buildings, and micro-irrigation, creating shared value is at the center of the Mahindra Group’s core purpose, and hence is the major driver of its business strategy and culture.

While Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector is investing in future-ready technologies to provide complete solutions to the global farming community, Mahindra Finance is serving the needs of the bottom of the pyramid traders, unemployed youth and farmers, by offering a unique ‘earn and pay’ model, that in turn has created six million small entrepreneurs across 3.6 lakh villages in India.
