In 1947, we introduced India to the utility vehicle.
More than 68 years later, we're still India's premier utility vehicle company, but we've also grown quite a bit. Today, we offer a wide range of mobility products and solutions ranging from SUVs, electric vehicles, pickups, and commercial vehicles, small aircraft and boats that are tough, rugged, reliable, environment-friendly, and fuel-efficient.
Our story in mobility began in 1947 with two men on a mission. They assembled the Willys, a ready-for-anywhere vehicle that moved a newly independent nation, its people, and the ones who mattered. Prime Ministers and Presidents. A Pandit and a Pope. It was an auspicious start.
Mobility presence acrossLand
This proud heritage has led to us becoming one of India’s leading vehicle manufacturers and its leader in utility vehicles. Its only aircraft maker and an automatic electric car pioneer. And the country’s only manufacturer with vehicles on land, air, and sea.
A Growing Global Presence
We are constantly expanding our horizons, across borders. You’ll find our wheels, wings, and sails in six continents, over 100 countries, and in every major city in the world. From building aircrafts down under to redefining SUVs in South Korea, our global reach is only getting stronger each day.
5Cs of the Future of Mobility
We are building a network of global R&D facilities to put the power of mobility into the hands of more and more people. You will find our Engineers, in India & the US, in South Korea & Italy, working to turn our vision of the 5Cs of the future of mobility – Clean, Connected, Clever, Convenient and Cost-effective mobility solutions—into reality.
MotorsportCompeting with the Best
Our technological prowess also sees us at the pinnacle of motorsport. Mahindra Racing is one of the ten founding teams of the trailblazing all-electric FIA Formula E Championship. Similarly, we became the first Indian team to compete in the FIM MotoGPTM World Motorcycle Racing Championship in 2011.
Our rise to the top of our game has not gone unrecognized. Mahindra REVA was one of Fast Company’s most innovative companies in 2013. The Scorpio has made for an insightful case study at Harvard Business School. Whether creating tomorrow’s solutions or taming the elements, we continue to be widely awarded for a DNA that builds the impossible.
