This World Inclusion Day, we bring you #UnlearnToRise, a series continuing our conversations around unconscious bias. Through real stories from across Mahindra, we explore the assumptions we make about people and the beliefs we need to unlearn.

“I come from Irang village in Manipur, where I grew up as the eldest of three brothers. A recruitment drive in tourism and hospitality gave me an opportunity to take my first steps towards a career in the industry.

I underwent professional training in Dwarka, Delhi, before clearing two rounds of interviews with Club Mahindra. Today, my journey has begun as a Trainee at Club Mahindra Jaipur.

For me, this is the beginning of a new chapter, one built on learning, developing my skills and making the most of the opportunity I have received.

My journey reminds me that talent can come from anywhere. Sometimes, all it needs is an opportunity to be seen and the chance to prove itself.
