Announcing contribution of M&M shares by Anuradha and Anand Mahindra to Mahindra University

Together with earlier contributions, the latest share endowment fulfils the personal pledge of ₹500 crore by Mr Anand Mahindra and family announced in March 2024

Hyderabad, August 12, 2026: Mahindra University is pleased to announce the receipt of an endowment contribution from Anuradha and Anand Mahindra.

The latest endowment contribution, comprising shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (“M&M”) valued at approximately ₹300 crore, together with earlier contributions, fulfils the landmark personal pledge of ₹500 crore made by Mr Anand Mahindra and family in support of Mahindra University.

The pledge was publicly announced on 27 March 2024. It supports Mahindra University’s mission to strive for interdisciplinary academic excellence and to train multi-skilled leaders committed to inclusive and sustainable progress.

The contribution will support Mahindra University’s educational and charitable objectives, including infrastructure, scholarships, research grants, student aid and academic operations.

In a personal note on the occasion, Anuradha and Anand Mahindra said:

“Education has always been a core value in our family. We have long believed that real legacy lies in what one gives back to society and in the opportunities one creates for the next generation. That belief led us to make our pledge to Mahindra University in March 2024.

Since then, the University has come a long way. It has moved into new disciplines, brought together students and faculty from India and beyond, and built partnerships with leading universities around the world. It is steadily building the foundations of an institution intended to endure.

India’s future will be shaped by the quality of its universities and the knowledge, values and confidence of its young people. Mahindra University was created to educate future citizens for and of a better world. We remain deeply committed to that purpose and to the University’s continuing journey.”
