Made in India, the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha revolutionizes crop care with
unmatched precision and efficiency for orchard farmers

Mumbai, September 24, 2025: Mahindra Farm Equipment Business, India’s largest tractor manufacturer and among the leading farm machinery players, has launched the Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha, a high-performance compact and powerful sprayer for orchard crops. Made in Nashik, Maharashtra, the award-winning sprayer has been developed by M.I.T.R.A (Mahindra Innovative Technologies & Research for Agriculture), a fully owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. This advanced solution is set to transform mechanized spraying in India’s growing horticulture sector.

Designed specifically for fruit crops like grape and pomegranate, the new high-performance tractor driven Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha sprayer is compact in size and built for real-world orchard conditions.

Featuring a robust 600-liter compact tank, a powerful 75 LPM diaphragm pump at the core and a high-performance 616 mm fan for air output of up to 32 m/s, ensures that the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha delivers uniform coverage across the plant, addressing challenges related to uneven application often seen in traditional methods. Compatible with Mahindra & non-Mahindra tractors, the sprayer is light in weight for lower tractor fuel consumption.

Combining engineering excellence with practical insights, the new sprayer is a valuable investment for farmers who aim to mechanise their crop care operations.

Commenting on the launch of the new Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha sprayer, Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President & Business Head of Farm Machinery & Precision Farming – Mahindra Farm Equipment Business explains “With mechanisation in crop protection experiencing significant growth in India, we at Mahindra are proud to launch our new compact sprayer the Mahindra AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha. Defined by its compact design, precision features and easy movement, our new sprayer will ensure protection of delicate fruit and flower crop for better quality of output. The new range is available across Mahindra MITRA dealerships across key markets of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat.”

Whether navigating narrow vineyard passages or providing delicate spraying coverage in pomegranate orchards, precision spraying machines play a crucial role in preventing disease, reducing chemical use and improving overall crop quality, for higher farm productivity and overall yield, besides saving on time and labour. Farmers using the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha sprayer have reported significant savings in chemicals and labour, quicker spraying cycles, and better crop health.

Designed to put control in the hands of the farmer, the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha is fit with a 2-speed + 1-neutral gearbox that lets users adjust the fan speed based on weather conditions and specific crop requirements. The low-height profile of the new sprayer enables safe movement under canopy and trellis systems essential for protecting delicate flowers and fruit in high-density orchards.

The new compact tank of the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha is constructed from chemical-resistant materials, ensuring durability and a long operational life. The compact tank design, along with a 3- axis toe bar allows easy movement through tight vineyard rows. By reducing physical contact with the crop, the new sprayer helps maintain integrity of the crop, minimizing risk of damaging vines or tender fruit, especially during critical crop growth stages.

For enhanced efficiency, the sprayer includes 12 two-way adjustable brass nozzles that ensures precise chemical application and minimal wastage. A 5-mode controller allows precise adjustment of spray pressure, direction, and coverage—enabling accurate and responsive spraying across varied terrains and crop growth stages.

The sprayers brass agitator keeps the chemical solution suitably mixed throughout the spraying operation preventing sedimentation and ensuring uniform application. Safety features such as a pressure relief valve protects both the pump and operator, while tire mud scrappers ensure smooth operation even in muddy or uneven field conditions.
