Meet India’s one-of-a-kind grape pack house facility that features the latest innovative technologies which will transform the post-harvest management of grapes. Mahindra Agri Solutions Ltd. (MASL), the leading exporter of grapes from India with over 14 years of experience in grape harvesting and post-harvest management inaugurated its futuristic grape pack house facility in Nashik, Maharashtra, recently.
The new facility will help retain the freshness of the grapes through a connected cold chain spanning across the globe from its arrival into the facility till it reaches the overseas customer. Now, as the grapes travel from a Nashik farm, all the way to a fork in Europe, the buyer can be assured of its top quality.
With avant-garde refrigeration, processing and packing technology, the pack house facility covers 75,000 sq. ft., has 12 precooling chambers, 280 metric tons of cold storage capacity, and can pack 90 tonnes of grapes per day.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We are very excited about the inauguration of this modern pack house. This facility is a testament to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and will further Agribusiness’ cause of delivering farm tech prosperity by helping Indian growers meet stringent global quality standards.”
