She Is on the Rise: Prachi’s Journey After Maternity
“In February 2022, I chose to restart my career with Mahindra after maternity. My son and I had just relocated from Dubai, and stepping back into the corporate world felt less like a return and more like rebuilding from the ground up.
Every day required discipline and persistence. Some mornings began with presentations, others with preschool routines. Almost every day asked me to stretch a little more than I thought I could.
The transition was not easy, but my manager Anoop Shetty ensured I never felt alone in the journey. He invested time in helping me understand the role, trusted me with meaningful projects, and quietly encouraged me to step beyond my comfort zone.
During my second pregnancy, that support became even more meaningful. On days when my health needed priority, he ensured I had the flexibility to manage medical appointments and work rhythms without ever questioning my commitment.
For me, integrity has meant showing up with the same passion and rigor for my work while staying deeply committed to my responsibilities at home, never allowing one to diminish the other.
As I completed four years at Mahindra, another defining moment arrived. In October 2025, I was given the opportunity to take on the role of Plant HR Lead for the Tool & Die plant. The trust shown by my Plant Head Prasad Kulkarni and HR Head Amit Agarwal strengthened my resolve to step forward. My manager Kasireddy Sreenivasulu reinforced my readiness, while Amit’s understanding of both my professional ambition and family commitments kept me grounded.
Even today, as a feeding mother, I continue to experience that same culture of care. In moments when home needs attention, my team and organization step in with trust and flexibility, ensuring my children are never compromised while work continues seamlessly.
Today, I carry two titles with equal pride: mother and leader.
And I have learned that when integrity, care and opportunity come together, a woman does not just return. She rises.”
