As a woman, I carry enough strength within myself to stay inspired. My pregnancy journey was one such example. I worked until the day of my delivery in my previous organization, not because I was asked to, but because I was career-focused. I always wanted to be financially independent and emotionally strong until the very last day, and I could do this only because of my strong mindset. Navigating my pregnancy independently during the COVID pandemic, without support from a maid or family member, significantly boosted my confidence.
When my baby was eight months old, I decided to switch my career. It was not an easy decision, but I took it as a challenge. Though I was slightly nervous during the Mahindra interview, my mind kept circling around one thing: how I would balance my work responsibilities while caring for my baby. But clearing the technical round gave me immense confidence.
This confidence came largely because of my manager, Mr. Aswath Prasad, GM, Projects, Bangalore. He never questioned how I would manage work, travel, or motherhood. He simply trusted my abilities and offered me the opportunity. I will always be grateful for his belief in me.
Support truly matters. Every human being needs help to navigate daily responsibilities, and my husband has played a vital role in my journey. Hiring a maid for my daughter was one of the toughest decisions, but it turned out to be something beautiful. My daughter found the best caretaker, someone who loves her as her own.
Most importantly, my biggest source of unconditional love, support, and motivation is my daughter, Dimpana R. Manu, who inspires me more than she knows.;
