Tech Mahindra
Tech Mahindra, the country’s fifth-largest IT-services firm, is being recognized globally among 100 technology, media, digital retail and telecommunication companies that are shaping the digital world. On the Forbes Digital 100 List, Tech Mahindra ranks 15th and is the highest-ranked non-US company.
Among 1,744 listed companies across the Asia-Pacific region, Tech Mahindra is one of seven companies that made it to the Forbes Asia Fab 50 List. These companies are selected based on their sales, profits, market and asset value during the previous fiscal year, and have a revenue of over USD 2 billion.
That is not all. For the fourth consecutive year, Tech Mahindra has been recognized as a leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices 2018 (DJSI). It is one of the four companies to be included in the DJSI World Index and is among ten Indian companies in the DJSI Emerging Markets category.
Anand Mahindra, Chairman, M&M Group, tweeted, “This is no mean feat. If the future is digital, then Tech M is powered to propel itself and its partners into it.”

Fathers and Daughters
– A Unique Bond
It’s a special photoshoot that brings to life the love, admiration and pride that fathers have for their daughters. This unique bond will be celebrated on Oct 6-7 at the 5th annual edition of ‘Proud Fathers For Daughters’ by Project Nanhi Kali.
Atul Kasbekar along with other leading photographers like Colston Julian, Prasad Naik and Jaideep Oberoi will capture special moments between fathers and daughters from all walks of life.
Celebrity father-daughter duos like Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Javed Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, Sachin Tendulkar and Sara Tendulkar have all been part of previous seasons of this unique initiative.
Interestingly, this inspiring initiative, was born out of a conversation between Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group and renowned photographer Atul Kasbekar to bring about a change in the attitude towards the girl child in India.
In the last four years, this event has helped support the education of over 1,200 girls under Project Nanhi Kali. This year too, the participation fee will go towards educating the girl child. As daughters pose with their ‘first hero’ – their fathers, several other daughters across the country will be empowered with education and independence.

A Plate of Greens
You can now make others ‘green’ with envy, as you drive your Mahindra eVerito. The green number plate on your eVerito will distinguish your car from others, signaling that you are an advocate for a clean environment. In Bengaluru, start-up company Lithium Urban Technology is already making heads turn by being the first to get the distinctive green registration plate.
Besides being the first company to introduce an electric sedan in India, Mahindra Electric is the first company to get a green number plate for its cars, as stipulated by the Indian Government to encourage people to drive electric vehicles (EVs). Private vehicles will have a white numbering on the green number plate, and commercial vehicles and cabs will have it in yellow.

Mahindra’s eVerito, India’s first electric sedan, gets the new green number plates.

Driving ‘Road Safety’ on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway
The 94.6 km-long six-lane Mumbai-Pune Expressway has witnessed many vehicle crashes, fatalities and serious injuries. Statistics from the Highway Safety Patrol records 245 accidents in 2016 of which 136 were fatal. In 2017, 100 accidents were fatal.
The 30% drop in fatalities in 2017, was because of the collaborative efforts, between Mahindra & Mahindra, the Save Life Foundation and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation since 2016. The goal by 2020 is to have zero fatalities on this road.
The Zero Fatality Corridor (ZFC) is a pioneering initiative to build a replicable model for safety on any road. The initiative is executed by implementing a 360-degree solution across the Four E's of road safety - Engineering, Enforcement, Emergency Care and Education.
Combining road engineering, traffic enforcement, user engagement and post-crash trauma, a system has been put in place to reduce road crash deaths. Since 2016, road safety engineering interventions have been placed at 922 locations on the Expressway, 488 signage have been put up to warn drivers at sharp curves, and over 60 km of three-beam crash barriers have been installed. Variable message boards will be installed to track real-time information on drivers.
