SHVETA ARYA

Shveta Arya is the Group Chief Strategy Officer and a Member of the Group Executive Board of the Mahindra Group. In this role, she leads the Group’s portfolio of businesses to identify growth opportunities, unlock value, and drive long-term strategic advantage. She is responsible for shaping the Group’s strategic direction, fostering sustainable growth, and enabling transformation across businesses.

With over 23 years of experience spanning multinational corporations and management consulting, Shveta has built a distinguished career across the automotive, travel, financial services, and telecommunications sectors. Her expertise encompasses corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business transformation, operational excellence, and leadership development.

Prior to joining the Group, Shveta served as the Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, where she was responsible for driving business growth, ensuring customer success, nurturing talent, and encouraging a positive, inclusive, and ethical work culture. She was also designated as an Officer of Cummins Inc., a role that placed her among the company’s most senior global leaders, contributing to the execution of core business strategies worldwide.  Earlier in her career, Shveta led Strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India and held consulting and leadership roles at Kearney and Infosys, advising organizations on growth, performance improvement, and transformation initiatives.

Shveta holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Information Technology from Delhi University.
